Frequently Asked Questions

1. Where are classes held?

Classes are held in the My Little Monet art studio in the Willamette Historical District

in West Linn: 1914 Willamette Falls Dr. Suite 140

2. I'm left-handed. Can I still take a crochet class?

The short answer is yes. You totally can!

The longer answer is: it won't be easy. I teach left-handed people to crochet using the right-handed method. The reason for this is due to the availability of patterns. There are very few patterns written for lefties, which is so unfair! Because of this, it is best to learn the right-handed method. I know, that's easy for me to say as a right-handed person, but I promise you can learn the right-handed way, even as a left-handed person. It's just harder and will feel very strange at first. Motivation is everything.

3. What if I miss a class? Can I do a make-up class or get a refund?

It's definitely important to attend your dedicated class time. The classes are taught in a series that adds on to each lesson based on what was learned in the previous class. Refunds are not offered and pro-rated tuition is not available. But, if you do miss a class (stuff happens), I will email the handout for that day to you and a short review will be done at the start of each class. Make-up classes are $45 and are by appointment only.

4. Do you teach private lessons?

Yes. I offer private lessons and personal project instruction. Depending on the days/times, private lessons may be taught at the My Little Monet studio or in a home session at a residence. Please email me for pricing and details.

5. Do you teach kids? How old do you have to be to take a crochet class?

Currently our classes are offered to adults only (high school age and up). I do plan on creating a series for younger kids in the future. Please join my mailing list to get updates on new sessions and events.

6. What should I bring to class?

All supplies are included, so no worries there! Please feel to bring a water bottle or snack.
